Craft ideas
## Check out Danielle's place lots of Joshua and Jericho ideas here - memory verse, make a horn, games.

##Build a wall of empty cereal or packing boxes. Have students re-enact story. Knock the "wall" down at the end.

##Make a paper rams horn (scroll down to find the idea)
or make one out of a milk carton For rams horns, you'll need used plastic milk cartons.
1. Wash and dry the carton.
2. Cut out the wide bottom of the jug.
3. Wrap strong mailing tape around the cut edge to avoid any sharp points that may harm the children.
Have the children hold the handle and blow out of the spout side of the rams horn as they create a horn sound with their voice.
Another idea is to use a birthday horn (scroll down the site until you see Shofar)

##Focus on the number 7

7days, 7 priests, 7 trumpets, 7 times marching around.

(older children might light to highlight the numbers in their bible)

numbers worksheets found here - not biblical but could be adapted.

Rahab and the Spies

This is one of my favourite stories in the Bible. Inspite of how she is described she was an amazing woman. Her story is proof that nomatter what we were God can still work with us. She is one of only 5 women listed in the genealogy of the son of God. What a testament to her great faith.

Ever wondered why the 2 spies went to Jericho - really? After all they were useless at their job. Within a few minutes of entering the gate they were knowen to the king. I am sure that they only went to Jericho to save Rahab and she by her faith saved her whole household.

Here are the internet resources I found to help in telling the story of Rahab.
